MOZZ

Mozzie, He’s a new addition to the Malay household back in MN. I’ve yet to meet him, but I’m pretty excited to. He’s an English Cocker just like Lucy, and just like Lucy, he’s a ball of energy. He’s 3 months old right now and weighs 15lbs. His paws are the same size as Lucy’s, which means, he’s probably going to get pretty beefy.

HOOD-window

Last week at the Shack we were hangin out after a long night at camp and someone decided to break Jakes car window and steal his camera bag. Not too fun to find that out after winding down from a crazy day. Anyway, the window is fixed, but the camera bag is long gone. After itemizing all the goods that were lost the insurance company is layin down a pretty hefty deductable. We’ve started a little donation page for those who’d like to help Jake get a new camera. If you’d like to see his work, check out the windells ski edits and if you’d like to help him out, go HERE and donate what you’d like. Thanks.

RAMONA-falls

We took a hike to Ramona Falls the other day. I think that 7 of us went. It was pretty amazing once we got there, a giant waterfall in the middle of the woods.

RAMONA-falls2

This picture shows how big the falls was a little better than the other. The walk back to it was about 3 miles and about 4 to get out.

RAMONA-walk

On the way out we found a log that went across a river. We all decided to walk across it. Luckily no one fell in, even though we threw rocks in next to people while walking across. Pretty fun day

Saturday, June 19th, 2010

Its been way way way too long since i’ve upt anything here and I’ve been doing a lot of stuff. So this post is going to be longer than normal. Be sure to click on the “read more link after the first couple pictures to see it all. We’ll start things off a couple weeks back…

Hood-waterfall

Alex and I had the opportunity to go and shoot this feature with a rider from the area. Hopefully the shots make the cut for the video which will be released this fall some time. I’m not going to say much, but I think its called  “The Arena” maybe…

hood_cements

So I’ve been keeping an eye the updates Windells has been putting up regarding the improvements around campus and I’ve got to say I was pretty impressed just by the photos. But after walking around campus and actually seeing whats going on, i realize that pictures don’t really do it justice. The place is going to live up to its name as the funnest place on earth this summer. Here’s a couple shots I took of some of the new stuff. Now all we need is for this rain to stop…

Hood-drive

When we were down in Mexico we found these little bobble wing penguins. They seemed a little out of place with the turtle and dragon bobbles so we picked a few up and they came back with us. On Wednesday Alex and I packed up all of our stuff in Denver and headed out to Oregon. The drive wasn’t too bad even though we left at 6pm and drove all through the night. Somewhere in Idaho or maybe Utah a giant owl swooped down right in front of the car. Other than that we didn’t have any encounters with animals on the road. Its nice to have that drive behind us

ISLA-sunset

Just got back from a pretty amazing trip down to Isla Mujeres. Its a small island right off the coast of Cancun. Alex and I were there for 5 days tohave a little vacation and shoot Mark and Whitney Koelker’s wedding. Everything went really well and we’ve started gathering the footage up for the video. Not too sure on the release date for that yet, but hopefully sometime soon. Grant Oaks was down there shooting some great photos that you can find over at his blog.

GoPro Mount

Monday, May 10th, 2010

Jordan and I had some time yesterday and went to Menards with the intention of building a car mount for a GoPro. After about 30 minutes of wandering and discussing we left Menards with random finds we thought might do the trick. It took us about 20 minutes and a bag of blue fish to get it all set up. Here’s the result:

Hood_blocker

Its getting to be that time of year again. From the looks of things its going to be a pretty good summer. We’ve got some interns hired, the Dreamfeature sessions look to be going well, Dillon got a job at camp, new camera on the way maybe. Looking forward to this year more than any other.

Steamboat

Saturday, April 3rd, 2010

Last weekend we had the Love for the Ladies Rail Jam and Joe, Tanya, Al, and Jen came out for it. It was a big success and Everyone had a good time. We’ve got a video in the making and that should be done somewhat soon… Anyway, after that we headed up to steamboat to do some riding for a few days.

It would have been nice to have had some fresh snow, but it was great to have a sunny warm day.

STEAM_bowl

We did however find some good snow in one of the back bowls. Al and Mikey through some Tomahawks down.
